Virginia M. Lance, 95 of Canal Fulton, passed away Sunday, January 24, 2021. Born on November 18, 1925 in Parma, OH to the late Edward and Emma Smith, she had been an area resident most of her life, retiring from the Jackson Local Schools and was a member of St. Jacob Lutheran Church. Virginia enjoyed traveling, sewing, playing bingo, making quilts and crafts and being outside. Most importantly she loved spending time with her family. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Leland "Curly" Lance; brothers, Wilbur, Clarence and Chub Smith. Virginia is survived by her children, Barb (Ken) Halter, Robert (Linda), David (Karen), Rick (Jeri), JR and Gary (Becky) Lance; 12 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; 4 great-great grandchildren; sisters, Shirley Moehle, Ermie Moser; numerous nieces and nephews. The family wishes to thank the Inn at Belden Village and Crossroads Hospice for their care of Virginia.
Funeral Services will be held SATURDAY, January 30, 2021, 1:00pm at the Swigart-Easterling Funeral Home, 624 Cherry St. E. (Rt. 93), Canal Fulton, Pastor Lynn Williamson officiating. Burial at Mudbrook Cemetery. Visitation Saturday, 11am to 1pm at the funeral home.
