Wayne Leon Hudkins, 88, passed away Monday, February 22, 2021 after a lengthy battle with Alzhemier's. He was born May 30, 1932, Memorial Day, to the late Lynwood and Opal Hudkins, living in Akron for the first few years of his life and then moved to Manchester (New Franklin) during grade school. Wayne attended school with and married Elizabeth Jane Carmany on May 2, 1953 and moved to Mogadore in 1962. He was a blimp pattern cutter for Goodrich, employed with Rohners Paper, Jones Motor Freight and retired from Monsanto. After retirement he went on to become a custodian for the Mogadore Methodist Church. Wayne started running marathons in his late 40's and 50's. He had a tremendous love for his family and never forgot a face. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brothers, Lynwood and Arch Hudkins and sister, Florence Bird DeMita. Wayne is survived by his loving wife of 68 years, Elizabeth Jane Hudkins; sons, Bruce Wayne Hudkins and Joseph (Brenda) Hudkins; daughter, Pamela Hudkins; granddaughters, Erica (Kris) Cofojohn and Megan Hudkins; great-grandchildren, Josephine, Madison, Gabe, Emmett and Norah; several cousins, nephews and nieces.

Per his wishes cremation has taken place and no services will be held at this time. A celebration of life will be announced at a later date. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Crossroads Hospice, 3743 Boettler Oaks Dr Suite E, Uniontown, OH 44685.
